The College of Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan (U of S) offers four year-programs leading to a bachelor of science in Engineering (BE) degree. Students choose to concentrate in one of the following nine disciplines: agricultural and bioresource, chemical, civil, electrical, environmental, geological, mechanical engineering, and engineering physics. The first year, which lays a solid theoretical and mathematical foundation is common for all branches. Specialization begins in the second year. Emphasis on simulation, design and manufacturing using computer methods are placed on programs. Students may enroll in the Engineering Professional Internship Program, Engineering Entrepreneurship and Communication Options.

The College of Engineering offers a number of modern facilities to enhance student learning. It is housed in its own building that was built in 1981. Along with having access to the university's main library, engineering students can use the engineering library which contains a number of engineering-related resources, including periodicals and journals. The program also provides students with access to the Engineering Computing Centre, which consists of four modern labs. Students will have access to a wide range of both engineering and business software, such as AutoCAD, word processing and data base applications.
